After 23 years of selling on-premise digital signage CMS software we have decided to begin the process of moving our on-premise offering, Carousel 7, to End-of-Life (EOL) status. Each one of our thousands of Carousel 7 customers are very important to us, and we want to assure you that you'll be well taken care of as we move Carousel 7 into long term support. We're thankful you've supported us over the years, and we are committed to continuing to support you while being completely transparent about our plans for the future.
Our goal is to lay out our Carousel 7 EOL plan as clearly as possible to alleviate concerns and avoid any confusion that may arise. We have created a dedicated website, c7.carouselsignage.com, with the sole purpose of supporting you. On this website you will find detailed information about the Carousel 7 EOL plan, technical support resources, and training resources. In addition, and you will be able to buy add-on licenses and fresh channel designs for your existing system. If you still have questions or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
End-of-Life does not mean the end of support. While we will not be adding new features into the on-premise version of Carousel, we will still be fixing security issues, squashing bugs, and providing tech support. Carousel 7.5 is a mature and robust signage CMS which you will be able to run for many years to come!
Perhaps you are wondering why we've made the decision to move a very successful product to EOL status. As you may have noticed, we've been focusing much of our efforts recently on Carousel Cloud. This direction was ultimately determined based on our goal to deliver the best customer experience and deliver continual value. We believe the cloud platform best positions us to accomplish that mission going forward. We are very excited about the future of Carousel Cloud, and believe we can get there while ensuring we support our Carousel 7 customers well in the coming years.
